  3. I do not agree with any of the good things said about GearBest.com on this page. I ordered a tablet, its companion keyboard and stylus pen on October 28th when the site was showing a 3-5 days shipping time for all the products. After 8 days, they shipped out the keyboard and the stylus pen but did not ship out the tablet. I immediately raised a support ticket to check when they expected to ship the tablet and was informed after two days that the item was out of stock and there was no estimate of when it will be back in stock. When I asked why they shipped out the accessories when the main item was not in stock, they did not provide any answer. If you check the page footer on GearBest.com, they claim that they are “a website for gadget lovers by gadget lovers”. Clearly, this was not the case as they did not even check what was being sent out nor checked with me if I wanted the accessories without the tablet. And before anyone starts defending them, I want to point out that the accessories only with that particular tablet model. The keyboard is even powered through the tablet through docking pins so both are useless without the tablet.

    10 more days passed and when I pressed them for an answer they told me that I had three options. I could cancel the order and park the remaining money in their online wallet, wait until November 30th or point them to another link from where they could purchase the tablet and send across to me. I told them that I wanted a refund for the entire order because the accessories were still in transit, unusable without the tablet and I had paid using PayPal. No answer again.

    November 30th has gone by and the tablet still hasn’t shipped. GearBest has not replied to my messages since November 14th. Whoever said that they have a great customer service needs to double-check. They have an online chat option but I have never been able to start a live chat. I always get the error “Our agents are too busy to serve you right now”.

    They charged me $40 for the keyboard, which is original and came packed. I was charged $30 for the stylus pen, which is a cheap plastic pen and cannot be worth be $30. They have given me an invoice of $30 for both, showing $17.2 for the keyboard and $12.8 for the pen.

    It seems that I have lost $200 with them. Better beware of these scamsters.

  4. I purchased dash cam from them. They informed me it would arrive in 3-7 business days. it arrived more than 3 weeks later, and it was broken. After a month of [slow] correspondence with their customer service, they informed me that I can ship it back to China on my dime. Stay away from this place. They should pay return shipping on items that are broken upon arrival.

    are you FUCKING kidding me??? You told me on 10/12/2015 the first time you will send it.After another 3-4 messages you tell me that there is no phone on stock!Between messages you don’t even bother to inform me about the new status.After 3 months you tell me either to wait another 1-2 months (which will be more likely 3-4 months) or a refund of 60USD (I paid for the phone about 120 EUR). This is unexectable!!! When I opened the ticket the phone was still under WARRANTY. This means that I have the right of either REPAIR or FULL MONEY REFUND!!! Please answer as soon as possible. After this message I will of course write some comments in your site.

  6. I bought a “Beelink M808 TV Box Windows 8.1” on 24th of September (order number W1509211430377000). I received it at home after several days. It worked OK for just 2 days: After that time, the TV box doesn’t start. It is broken!

    I asked for a refund but I got nothing. And what worst: They don’t answer my ticket comments. I missed $87 with Gearbest!

    It is the first time that I leave a negative feedback, but this is my advice: Do not buy in Gearbest!!!

    The prices are great, but the thing I love about this shop is the availability that has customer support are always available to solve any problem.

  8. I purchased phones 2 phones from Gearbest. The first phone I paid “express shipping” for extra $10. It was supposed to ship the same day, but did not ship until 2 weeks later. I received the phone 3 weeks later. The second phone I used free shipping method, and it took 4 weeks.

    The second phone did not work at all out of the box. After trying multiple ways to update it, the manufacturer confirmed that Gearbest tempered

    with the phone, and installed an unofficial firmware loaded with Adware and junk software that could not be removed. Attempts to update it with official firmware all failed.

    I’ve been going back and forth with Gearbest for 5 days now. They finally offered 3 solutions.
    (1) Send it back to China from U.S. and pay for shipping, and they will try to fix it and send it back to me. Given that it took me 4 weeks to receive the phone, it just seemed like a really bad idea.
    (2) They will give me $10 credit for this $177 non-working phone, to be used on Gearbest website.
    (3) They will send me another phone for replacement, but want me to pay ANOTHER $150 for it, and I can keep the non-working phone.

    Their website may state satisfaction guarantee, with 45 day money back. But they do not honor it at all. I posted poor reviews on their website. Not surprisingly, all the reviews were removed.

    I would recommend to anyone who thought about buying from Gearbest to reconsider. The poor customer service, long shipping delay, and “unofficial” firmware they load on the phones makes for the worst online shopping experience.

  11. I ordered from Gearbest. They never shipped my package! They proceeded to tell me they had up to 100 days to ship! They were in contact with me every day. Then after 60 days of not receiving it, I contacted PayPal. Gearbest then would not reply to me. They gave PayPal a FAKE tracking #, PayPal immediately ruled in my favor. Now, GearBest has insufficient funds! This is a real high class company!

The one issue I had was immediately resolved, and as for the shipping time, a lot of that has to do with customs, and shipping choice. I will continue using Gearbest, as they have a large selection of goods to choose from, and go out of their way to keep their customers happy.

  15. Voyo V2 Mini PC – No Power Supply (NIGHTMARE)

    This was an impulse buy from a Facebook Ad, which has gone from bad to bloody stupid on the part of Gearbest’s so called Customer Service.

    PC arrived without its Barrel Connector Power Supply. Raised a ticket was told they would ship a replacement although they seemed to think I should raised a claim with my shipper (how? I didn’t ship it).

    A UK power adaptor turned up like one of those travel plugs. Cannot plug that in. They then proceeded to ignore anything I said and kept saying I had received the plug and closed the call:

    “Checked the order ,we find the uk plug we provided is what we have resent to you.”

    Repened the call and got the following message back:

    “…our colleague has applied to resend a new UK adapter to you.”

    My second call contained: “The attached picture is of a UK plug adapter. THIS NOT something I can plug into the Voyo V2 Mini PC. I need a barrel connector power supply that comes with the PC, which you failed to provide the first time round!”

    If they had bothered to read the call they would know that the UK plug does not help me in the slightest! It is like talking to a brick wall.

    However will point out that both items where listed as being in there EU warehouse which is located in UK where I am located,

  20. I purchased a tablet from gearbest Nov 6. It took 5 days for them to sit on their asses talking about processing order. I emailed them and they said be patient. Next day they send a notice shipped it out. The first shipper SF sat on thier asses for 6 days. It supposedly got to the US east coast. It is still in transit but says it left Midwest 3 days ago since then nothing. I haven’t had a bad experience YET but had I known about this site I would have spent the extra $$ and bought from someone else. Haven’t been scammed YET but I will never buy from these guys again.
